Pa’ia, Maui — La’akea Village empowers people of all abilities to live, work, learn, play and thrive together to realize their greatest potential.
The goal of La’akea Village is to provide people with intellectual and developmental disabilities a positive and safe learning environment in our community through our residential and day programs.
The organization is the shared vision of a devoted board of director members, many dedicated parents, family members, participants, staff, volunteers and advocates from the community and abroad.
Ohana Fuels partners with nonprofit organizations that serve the needs of the local community and donates a portion of the proceeds from every gallon of gasoline purchased at its stations in that community. As the beneficiary of Ohana Fuels’ “Fuel Up. Do Good.” program for the second quarter of 2019, La’akea Village received a donation of $5,805.01.
“This generous donation from Ohana Fuels will allow us to provide program assistance to our residential and day participants,” said Sarah Menzies, Executive Director. “We are extremely grateful for the support.”
