The Walk to End Alzheimer’s – Maui, one of the flagship events of the Alzheimer’s Association Hawaii, is the most recent beneficiary from the Ohana Fuels ‘Fuel up. Do good.’ program. The Walk to End Alzheimer’s – Maui is scheduled for Saturday, October 22 at Keopuolani Park in Kahului.
Ohana Fuels partners with nonprofit organizations serving the needs of the local community, and donates a portion of the proceeds from every gallon of gasoline purchased at all Ohana Fuels stations in that community. During the months of January through March 2022 a portion of all gasoline sales at Ohana Fuels locations on Maui were donated to the Walk to End Alzheimer’s – Maui. Together with a car wash held in March led by the Maui Walk volunteer committee, the partnership with Ohana Fuels generated over $7,500 for the Walk.
“We are excited to be partnering with the Walk to End Alzheimer’s – Maui as the latest ‘Fuel up. Do good.’ beneficiary,” said Kimo Haynes, President of Hawaii Petroleum. “We value the exceptional work the Alzheimer’s Association does to help our local Ohana and look forward to participating in the Walk this October. We look forward to offering continued support in the community through our ‘Fuel up. Do good.’ program.” For more information please visit ohanafuels.com.
“We are extremely grateful to Ohana Fuels for their generosity and commitment to supporting our local community. This donation will help the Alzheimer’s Association Hawaii Chapter provide free education and support services to families and individuals on Maui impacted by this devastating disease,” said Scott Corderman, 2022 Chair for the Walk to End Alzheimer’s – Maui.
