(Wailuku)- Big Brothers Big Sisters of Maui was the most recent beneficiary of Ohana Fuels‘ ‘Fuel Up. Do Good.’ program. Ohana Fuels partners with nonprofit organizations serving the needs of the local community and donates a portion of the proceeds from every gallon of gasoline purchased at Ohana Fuels stations in that community. For January to June 2020, the typical quarterly donation period was extended to two quarters due to the Corona Virus pandemic. Maui Ohana Fuels sales during that time resulted in a donation in the amount of $9,753.24 to Big Brothers Big Sisters of Maui.
Big Brothers Big Sisters of Maui operates under the belief that inherent in every child is incredible potential. Since 1969, the organization has helped children (“Littles”) facing adversity reach their fullest potential by matching them with caring volunteers (“Bigs”) in a one-to-one mentoring friendship. These relationships have the potential to change a child’s life, and the lives of everyone they interact, with for the better, forever.

The generous donation will be used to support our mentoring relationships and will help ignite the potential and promise in our Maui youth.”
