Hui No Ke Ola Pono is a private, not for profit community-based health enhancement, disease prevention and health care center. Hui No Ke Ola Pono is one of five Native Hawaiian Health Care Systems created under the Native Hawaiian Health Care Act of 1988. We provide programs on nutrition, health management and health care referrals for the community of Maui in a culturally caring manner.
HNKOP operates programs throughout Maui that help support family health for the Native Hawaiian community. Our mission is to improve the health status of this community by empowering the present and future generations to be their own health advocates. Hui No Ke Ola Pono serves as a “bridge” to the Native Hawaiian community by integrating medical care with traditional Hawaiian values, beliefs and practices. HNKOP is thankful to Ohana Fuels and their supportive ‘Fuel up. Do Good.’ Community Giving Program, especially during this unprecedented year we’ve all endured. The generous donation will be used to support ongoing programs such as our Traditional Native Hawaiian Practices programs, Produce Box distributions and Enabling Services that will benefit the Native Hawaiian communities here on Maui.
