Maui United Way is working to address Maui’s most vital needs through the impact areas of education, income sustainability, and health. Maui United Way has a goal to bring people, organizations, and the community together around a common cause, a common vision, and a common path forward.
Some of Maui United Way’s direct assistance programs during the pandemic include utility bill assistance and emergency rental assistance. Non-pandemic programs include a holiday toy drive and a school supply drive, as well as information and referral services, and an emergency food and shelter program.
Maui United Way looks forward to rounding the corner of the pandemic crisis. The support that the Hawaii Petroleum donation brings will help provide a hand up to those needing it most, as well as a safety net to ensure Maui County’s most at-risk populations don’t fall through the cracks.
