Friends of The Children’s Justice Center of East Hawaii (Friends) has been chosen as the next beneficiary of the impactful Ohana Fuels “Fuel Up. Do Good.” program. As a testament to their commitment to the community, Ohana Fuels partners with nonprofit organizations that cater to local needs and donates a portion of the proceeds from every gallon of gasoline purchased at their stations in that community. From July through September 2024, the proceeds will be contributed to Friends of The Children’s Justice Center of East Hawaii, making a tangible difference in the lives of many in our community.
“This Ohana Fuels donation will significantly impact the lives of children suffering from abuse and neglect on our island. So please, “Fuel Up. Do Good.” by purchasing fuel at Ohana Fuels,” stated Robin Benedict, Executive Director of the Friends.
The Friends organization, whose mission is to educate the public, bring awareness to the topic of child abuse, and encourage reporting of abuse, is the last resort for children who have been abused in the East Hawaii community. The Friends fill requests for emergencies, basic needs, after-school activities, sports, dance, music, art, prom, graduation, and more.
