During the months of October, November, and December 2014, Imua Family Services was the recipient of Ohana Fuels, “Fuel Up. Do Good” Program.

A portion of proceeds from fuel sales at all Maui Locations supported Imua Family Services continued efforts. The total amount rose from all activities supported by Ohana Fuels, totaled over $7,500. Additionally, Imua Family Services’ Camp Imua Program hosted two car washes with proceeds to benefit a week long recreational camp for keiki with special needs. Proceeds from “Fuel Up. Do Good” will support Imua Family Services’ Early Childhood Development Program for children ages 3 to 6 can receive therapeutic developmental services to address mild to moderate delays and do not qualify for special education services from the Department Of Education. This vital program allows many children and families on Maui to continue to receive support after aging out of federally funded Early Intervention services.

WAILUKU, MAUI (Hawaii) – Maui Economic Opportunity, Inc. (MEO) received $8,385.30 from HFN Maui Petroleum, Ohana Fuels, “Fuel Up. Do Good.” community giving program.    Ohana Fuels partners with non-profit organizations that serve the needs of the community by donating a portion of each purchase from every gallon of gasoline sold.

During an award presentation at MEO’s headquarters, CEO Lyn McNeff said, “We are grateful to HFN Maui Petroleum, Ohana Fuels for their support.  They are wonderful community partners.  This funding will allow us to assist clients who may otherwise be turned away.  Grants are typically specific, dictating who qualifies and receives assistance. If the individual does not meet the funding source’s eligibility criteria, we can’t help.  These funds will allow us to help the “gap” group who are in serious need of assistance. It will also be used to help support other unfunded agency needs.

Puunene, Maui, Hawaii – Feed My Sheep was the most recent beneficiary of the Ohana Fuels “Fuel Up. Do Good” program. A portion of all third quarter sales at all Maui Ohana fuels locations in the amount on $8,076.67 was donated to Feed My Sheep.

Feed My Sheep is a unique mobile food distribution program. They take their mobile food distribution to neighborhoods of need each week. They pass out bags of groceries to anyone who needs the help. The results are exciting. Each month they give 69,000 half-pound meals. In the last year they have given food to 3,400 people including working but poor families, seniors on fixed incomes and homeless men and women. Each person who comes has a few moments with someone who cares and food for their week.

The Ohana fuels donation will go a long way to ensuring Feed My Sheep can continue the great service they are providing the community.

Ohana Fuels recently presented Hospice Maui with a generous donation of nearly $7,000!
These funds were raised as part of the company’s “Fuel Up. Do Good” campaign. Hawaii Petroleum has pledged to provide ongoing donations to local groups and charities that impact the neighborhoods they serve by creating this “Fuel-Up, Do Good” program.  Every time residents of Maui fuel-up at Ohana Fuels, a portion of the gasoline sales are automatically designated to the selected Charity of the quarter.   During the first quarter of 2014 proceeds totaling $6,871.42 were designated to Hospice Maui.
