Malama is the only women-specific addiction treatment center on Maui and the only place where young children can live with their mothers during the recovery process. Their Early Learning Center provides free childcare and early developmental screenings for all clients’ children and BabySAFE Program ensures pregnant women have access to treatment, prenatal care and case management so they can get clean and give birth to healthy babies. “We are tremendously grateful to Ohana Fuels,” said Malama Clinical Director Dr. Lisa Ponichtera. “This support will have a huge impact because the funds will go directly to the Early Learning Center and BabySAFE, which largely rely on grants and donations to operate.
