WAILUKU, MAUI – Maui Family Support Services, Inc. is the recipient of Ohana Fuels “Fuel Up, Do Good” program for the second quarter of 2015. A portion of fuel sales at all Maui Ohana Fuels locations in the amount of $8,214.38 was donated to MFSS. Ohana Fuels also provided materials for 3 car washes that were held in April, May and June. Proceeds of the car washes also benefitted MFSS and contributed an additional $1,058.00 to Maui Family Support Services.
“Because of the Ohana Fuel Do Good Donation, Maui Family Support Services, Inc. was able to hold a Staff Retreat for 75 employees to renew their commitment to the mission of MFSS, to learn about Hawaiian cultural practices, and update the strategic plan for the agency. MFSS served over 6,100 people in FY 2015 in the islands of Maui, Moloka`i and Lana`i. MFSS completed over 4,200 home visits, over 1,000 referrals to community resources, 72 socializations/family days, and 200 group sessions with youth, parents, resource caregivers and fathers.”
MFSS has served Maui County children and families for over 34 years providing a variety of services to strengthen families. “We are honored to be selected in this wonderful program of Ohana Fuels. Their donation will help our agency in supplementing much needed funding for the services we provide in Maui County,” states Edeluisa Baguio-Larena, CEO of MFSS.
